On Thursday at Batavia Downs, driver Brett Beckwith—currently third among North American harness racing drivers—claimed five victories, including sweeps of the Winter Pacing Series finals and a natural hat trick across races seven through nine.

In the top final worth $14,000, Beckwith piloted Timeto Communicate to victory. The horse broke third, then advanced through traffic as Major Battle became parked and Dandys Bb Eight went three-wide. Timeto Communicate bolted away by 3¼ lengths and won in 1:57.2. Owned by Crazy Parrot Farm and trained by Shawn McDonough, Timeto Communicate paid $6.28.

The $11,000 final featured Mcvera securing her fourth consecutive Batavia victory while remaining undefeated in 2025. After Kb’ssweetcaroline initially led, Beckwith’s mount took over at the quarter in :28.1 and withstood a late challenge to win by three-quarters of a length in 1:56.3. Mcvera, owned by Robert Woodburn and trained by Taylor Fritz, returned $2.98.

Beckwith’s other three wins came with All About Lynx (1:58.3, $3.94), Wild Bill Kelso (1:58.4, $2.56), and Brooklets Sonic (1:59, $4.32).

Thursday concluded Batavia Downs’ winter meet, with summer racing resuming July 26.
